Lamb and Beetroot Burgers

This dish is Superb for Carb Loading and filling the energy tank in the week leading up to a big race.

But it is also very healthy for everybody in general.
.
Lamb is extremely rich in Omega 3 oils and fats and per gram Lamb has more Omega 3 oils than even Cod. Also, there are 29g of Protein in this dish which is brilliant for solidifying our anatomy ready for the big race.

Feta Cheese also has tons of Calcium in it in order to build strong bones and anatomy. It is also made from Ewe milk, meaning it is lower in fat than goats cheese or other cheeses. This dish contains 246mg of Calcium, which is 35 per cent of everybody’s recommended Calcium intake.

Beetroot is extremely good for everybody but especially Athletes. It is brilliant for stamina boosting and the nitrates in the Beetroot help relax your blood vessels and increase and improve the quality of Oxygen taken in by the Vessels and also  lowers blood pressure.

500g Lamb Mince ( 114 Calories, 1g Fat, 0g Carbs, 25g Protein)

1 Egg, beaten ( 80 Calories, 5g Fat, 1g Carbs, 0g Protein)

Few chunks beetroot, finely chopped ( 35 Calories, 0g Fat, 8g Carbs, 1g Protein)

100g Feta Cheese ( 264 Calories, 21g Fat, 4g Carbs, 14g Protein)

2 Large Sweet Potatoes ( 324 Calories, 0g Fat, 74g Carbs, 8g Protein)

Ciabatta Roll ( 190 Calories, 2g Fat, 37g Carbs, 7g Protein)

2 leaves Iceburg Lettuce for each burger ( 4 Calories, 0g Fat, 1g Carbs, 0g Protein)

1 Tomato chopped in each Burger ( 16 Calories, 0g Fat, 3g Carbs, 1g Protein)

1) Mix 500g of Lamb Mince with 1 beaten Egg, 2 finely chopped cloves of garlic, finely chopped pack of mint leaves and finely chopped Beetroot.

2) Mix it all well together using your hands and mould the mixture in to Burger shapes.
.
3) Cut 100g (half a pack) in to large square chunks of Feta cheese and put in to the middle of the mixture then re-shape the mixture around the Feta.
.
4) Put the Burgers on to a tray and leave in the Fridge to marinate and flavour for couple hours.
.
5) After couple hours, peel and cut 2 large Sweet Potatoes in to thin strips and put in little saucepan.
.
6) Add 2 tbsp’s of Olive Oil and 2 tsp’s of Rosemary, Thyme, Cumin Seeds and Chilli Flakes. Mix all together in with the Kumara.
.
7) Lay the Sweet Potato Wedges out on to a Baking Tray and cook in the oven on Gas Mark 6 for 45 minutes.

8) When the wedges have 15 minutes left, cook the Burgers on a griddle pan until Medium Well (or however you like it).
.
9) Whilst cooking, Toast the Ciabatta Bread ready and prepare the Lettuce and Tomato.
.
10) Put Burger on one half of Ciabatta and top with Lettuce and Tomatoes.
.
11) Serve with the Sweet Potato Wedges.
